Az épület jobb oldalán neonreklám hirdeti a vendéglátóhelyet. A Belvárosi az 1945-ös ostrom után elsőként kinyitott üzlethelyiség volt Budapesten, ahogy a falon elhelyezett emléktáblán is olvasható. Ebben az időszakban még Rónai Miklós és fia vezették a kávéházat. A fotón balról jobbra a következők láthatóak. A kép bal szélén a Szabadság-szobor látszik a Gellért-hegyen. A Matild palota, két oldalán neonreklámokkal. Baloldali a ROLPLAST reklámja, a Kossuth Lajos utca felé eső oldalon a fentebb említett Belvárosit reklámozza. Középen elől a Kecskeméti utcából induló alagút kijárata. A háttérben az 1964-ben átadott új Erzsébet híd. Előtte valamivel a Belvárosi plébániatemplom. Jobbra a másik Klotild palota neonreklámokkal, ezúttal biztosítást és a Herendi porcelánt hirdetve. Az épület aljában egy BÁV üzlet kirakata látszik. A területet az 1990-es években átnevezték Ferenciek terének. A dátum a postai bélyegző alapján.

The picture of the postcard shows the Felszabadulás Square in Budapest. The Belvárosi (Downtown) café and restaurant was located on the ground floor of the southern Klotild Palace (on the left in the picture). A neon sign on the right side of the building advertises the restaurant. The Belvárosi was the first shop to open in Budapest after the siege of 1945, as the plaque on the wall says. Miklós Rónai and his son were still running the café at the time. The photo shows, from left to right, the following can be seen: The Statue of Liberty on Gellért Hill is visible on the left edge of the photo. The Matild Palace, with neon signs on either side. To the left is an advertisement for ROLPLAST, on the side facing Kossuth Lajos Street, advertising the aforementioned Belvárosi Café.
