A Kígyó tér a Klotild palotákkal. A képen, a baloldalon álló palota aljában működött a Belvárosi Kávéház. A kávéház az Eskü út 5. szám alatt szerepelt a címjegyzékben. A ház előtt, az 1908-ban felavatott Werbőczy szobor látszik. Az út túloldalán az 1914-ben felállított Pázmány szobor állt, amely jelenleg a józsefvárosi Horváth Mihály téren látható. A képeslap Hans Götczinger akvarellje után készült. Hans Götczinger (1867-1941) festőművész volt, számtalan akvarellt készített magyarországi helyszínekről. Azóta már az V. kerülethez tartozik és az 1990-es évek óta a tér a Ferenciek nevet viseli. A dátum a postai bélyegző alapján.

Kígyó Square with the Klotild palaces. In the picture, the Belvárosi (Downtown) Café used to be located on the ground floor of the palace on the left. The café was listed in the address book at 5 Eskü Road. The statue of Werbőczy, inaugurated in 1908, can be seen in front of the house. Across the road was the statue of Pázmány, erected in 1914, which can now be seen on Horváth Mihály Square in Józsefváros. The postcard is based on a watercolour by Hans Götczinger. Hans Götczinger (1867-1941) was a painter who made countless watercolours of Hungarian sites. Since then, the square has been part of the V. district and since the 1990s the square has been called Ferenciek Square. The date is based on the postmark.
