Bauer Sándor, a kép készítője; 1946-ban került az MTI-n belül működő Magyar Film Irodához fotóriporternek, majd 1957-től a Vendéglátás magazin munkatársa volt. Több mint négy évtizedes pályájának hagyatéka mintegy húszezer, nagyrészt negatívban fennmaradt fotó.

A hévízi Rózsakert bisztró-eszpresszó a hatvanas évek végén, a virágkorát élő balatoni turizmus idején szépen egyesítette a modernizmus elveit és a hagyományos, kisvárosi Hévíz miliőjét. A földszinti bisztró és az emeletre helyezett eszpresszó részek eltérő használati módja (a földszintet inkább nappal, az emeletit este látogatják) nem zavarja egymást. A merev, szögletes tömbök közepében a kör alakú áttörés bensőséges és természetes fénnyel megvilágított belső teret hoz létre. A tóra függőleges lamellasorral néző emeleti homlokzat egyszerre zárt és nyitott hatású, jól illeszti a külső látványt az éjszakai szórakozóhely önálló életébe. A bisztró része a két körbezárt, átriumos udvar is, ezeknek vasbetonfalára támaszkodik a födém, amely az emeleti rész tömegét tartja. (mmakademia.hu)

A picture from the photo collection of photographer Sándor Bauer who was the photo reporter of the Hungarian Film Office (belonged to MTI) as of 1946, and the employee of magazine Vendéglátás as of 1957. His legacy is about 20 thousand photos, mainly in negative.

The Rózsakert Rose Garden) bistro-café in Hévíz at the end of the sixties, during the heyday of tourism of Lake Balaton, beautifully combined the principles of modernism and the traditional milieu of the small-town Hévíz. The different uses of the ground-floor bistro and the upstairs café sections (the ground floor is more visited during the day and the upstairs in the evening) do not interfere with each other. In the middle of the rigid, angular blocks, the circular breakthrough creates an intimate and naturally lit interior. The upstairs façade, which overlooks the lake with a row of vertical slats, is both closed and open, fitting the exterior view well into the independent life of the nightclub. The bistro also includes two enclosed atrium courtyards, the slab of which rests on the reinforced concrete wall, which holds the weight of the upstairs part.
