A lentebb ülő öt férfi alakját Apáti Abt Sándor alkotta meg, ezek a szobrászat, az építészet, a festészet, a vegyészet és a fazekasság mesterségét szimbolizálják. A szabályos ötszögű alakú talapzat Schulek Frigyes terve alapján kerámiából készült.

Zsolnay statue on Rákóczi Road in Pécs. The figures of the five men below were created by Sándor Apáti Abt, symbolizing the crafts of sculpture, architecture, painting, chemistry and pottery. The regular pentagonal pedestal was made of ceramic according to the design of Frigyes Schulek. The figure of Zsolnay was created by sculptor János Horvay. The statue was unveiled on 13 October, 1907.
