About us
The database of the Forum Hungaricum Non-profit Ltd. is a public online collection that publishes the digitized cultural goods of Hungarian museums, libraries, archives, private collections, NGOs, cultural and educational institutes on a common surface. The aim of the database is to collect and systematize digitized treasures and make them accessible for the public in accordance with the copyright law. This is how we provide an insight into our partner institutes’ collections, unveiling cultural contents, whose whereabouts would be more difficult to locate in the lack of a unified database.
Since 2013, more than 200 – former and current – partner institutes have been publishing their digitized documents on our database with the aid of the National Cultural Digitisation Public Employment Programme.

As an aggregator, Forum Hungaricum Non-profit Ltd. collects digital formats of the national cultural treasures and their metadata, exports them to the Europeana Foundation, thus augmenting the public collection of the European Digital Library as well.
