Gaál Dániel (Hódmezővásárhely, 1862 – 1935. április 30.) Városi kamarás, úszó, kerékpáros, tornász. A HTVE alapító sportolója, az egyesület kezdeti szakaszának egyik kiemelkedő alakja. Alapítója és zászlótartója volt a Városi Dalárdának is. Munkája elismeréséül a kormányzó a harmadosztályú polgári hadi-érdemkereszttel tüntette ki.
