Az interjút K. Máriával Budapesten készítették, 2004 májusában. A ’40-es évek iskolarendszerét említi a visszaemlékező, a tanárok emberséges hozzáállását dicséri. Angol és olasz kéttannyelvű vagy tannyelvű gimnáziumokban tanultak, illetve szeretett volna Mária tanulni, de ekkor az olasz gimnáziumba már nem vettek fel zsidó származású diákokat. A háború után az iskola megszűnt, de a skót misszión keresztül szervezték a diákoknak az összejöveteleket. A F.-féle Jane H. életét bemutató szöveg: F. Ibolyát egy skót laptól kereték meg, hogy a tragikus sorsú Jane Hainingről tud-e valamit. Jane H. volt Budapesten a Skót Misszió Iskolájának vezetője, 1932 és 1944 között. F. Ibolya itt lakott 1934 és 1942 között. Haining 1897-ben született gazdálkodó családban [Dunscore, Skócia]. Több nyelven beszélt, vallásos asszony volt, később Glasgow-ba költözött, vasárnapi iskolában tanított. Célja a kelet-európai zsidóság megsegítése volt. Újságcikkben olvasta, hogy a Skót Misszió Budapesten nyit iskolát, H. jelentkezett a vezetői posztra. H. nagyon emberséges, a gyerekekkel baráti kapcsolatot kialakító tanár, ember volt. Mindannyian szerették. 1939-ben visszatért Skóciába, 1944-ben, ismét Budapesten, összevitatkozott egy nyilas párttaggal, akinek a felesége ételt rendelt az iskola konyhájából. H. elmagyarázta, hogy az ételadagok a lányoknak vannak fenntartva, nem adhatnak. Később az Eichmann-féle akcióban 750.000 zsidót deportáltak, köztük sok lányt az iskolából. H.-t is letartóztatták, és a Gestapo irodába vitték, a Fő utcai börtönbe került, innen Auschwitzba. 47 évesen éhenhalt a táborban, 1944. július 17-én. A Skót Misszió egyházzá nyilvánítása révén túlélte a háborút, Glasgowban emléket állítottak Jane H.-nek, és a Jad Vashem is elismeri személyét.

The interview made in Budapest with Maria K., in May of 2004. The storyteller mentions the school system in the fourties, and she praised the teachers’s human behaviour. There were English and Italian high schools, where the girls studied, Mária wanted to learn in such italian school, but she was rejected because of her Jewish origin. After the war, the school ceased, but the Scottich Mission organized meetings for students. The life of Jane H. by ibolya F. is: Ibolya Fábri was visited by a journal to say something about the tragical fated Jane H.. H. was leader of Budapest Mission School between 1932 and 1944. Ibolya F. lived here from 1934 to 1942. H. was born in 1897 in a farmer family in Dunscore. She spoke more languages, she was religious, later she moved to Glasgow, she taught in Sunday Schools. Her aim was the support of Eastern-European Jewry. She red in an article the opening of a school in Budapest of the Scottish mission, and immediately she applied to the director position. H. was a very humane person, she had friendly relation with children. All of the students loved her. In 1939 she returned to Scotland, in 1944 she was in Budapest again. She debated to a member of the Arrow Cross party, whom wife ask lunch portion from kitchen of the school. H. explained that every portion are need for children, so they couldn’t give a one. This will have been her destiny. Later by the Eichmann-order 750.000 Jewish person were deported, there were lots of girls from the school among them. H. also was arrested and got to the office of Gestapo, then the prison in Fő street, from here to Auschwitz. She starved when she was 47 years old, on 17th of July of 1944. The Scottish Mission survived the war, because of it was declarated to a church. In Glasgow there is a memorial for Jane H., the Yad Vashem also recognize her individual.
