Az első két oldalon az államosítás utáni két év rövid leírása és összegzése olvasható, majd a kor szelleme és az esemény magával ragadó hevülete, felajánlásokra sarkalja az album készítőit. A leírtakból megtudhatjuk mit is jelent a szocialista kereskedelem, és számszerű adatok is olvashatóak. Majd különböző soproni kirakatok, üzletbelsők, portálok felvételei következnek, miközben megtudhatjuk, hogy december 2-án végre megszűnt a jegyrendszer. Láthatunk élelmiszerboltokat kívülről és belülről, cipőbolti kirakatot, divatáru üzletet, konfekciót és szövetárut bemutató bemutató portált valamint porcelán- és üvegáru boltot. Mátyás Rákosi (1892-1971) was the leader of the ruling Communist Party between 1945 and 1956.
