Bottyán János, közismert nevén Vak Bottyán is itt fogadott hűséget II. Rákóczi Ferencnek. Selmecbányától 12 km-re északnyugatra fekszik Szlovákiában. A település a képeslap kiadásának idején Magyarországhoz tartozott. Melegvízű forrásai már a kora középkor óta ismertek, a XIX. század végén, a dualista állam időszakában élte virágkorát. Híres vendégei voltak többek között: Jókai Mór író és József nádor. Jelenleg (2016) élményfürdőként működik (Vodný raj Vyhne) Az évszám a postára adás dátuma.

The picture side of the postcard shows a view of Vihnyefürdő. The tripartite building complex in the middle is the Rákóczi House. In 1704, the prince himself stayed here for an extended period. János Bottyán, commonly known as Bottyán the Blind, also pledged his allegiance to Ferenc Rákóczi II here. The town is situated 12 km north-west of Selmecbánya in Slovakia. The village was part of Hungary at the time the postcard was published. Its hot springs have been known since the early Middle Ages, and it flourished in the late 19th century, during the period of the dualist state. Its famous guests included the writer Mór Jókai and the Hungarian Palatine Joseph (Archduke Joseph of Austria). Presently it functions as an adventure bath.
