Bauer Sándor, a kép készítője; 1946-ban került az MTI-n belül működő Magyar Film Irodához fotóriporternek, majd 1957-től a Vendéglátás magazin munkatársa volt. Több mint négy évtizedes pályájának hagyatéka mintegy húszezer, nagyrészt negatívban fennmaradt fotó.

A vendéglő a Szentháromság és az Úri utca sarkán állt. A Fehér Galamb 1856 óta működött, nevét állítólag a ház előtti fán fészkelő galambpárról kapta. Sokat járt ide a Táncsics Mihály utcában lakó Tóth Árpád, és Kosztolányi Dezső is. Az épület 1945-ben menthetetlenül megsérült. Helyén ma is étterem működik; a Jamie's Italian Budapest.

A picture from photo collection of photographer Sándor Bauer who was the photo reporter of the Hungarian Film Office (belonged to MTI) as of 1946, and the employee of magazine Vendéglátás as of 1957. His legacy is about 20 thousand photos, mainly in negative.

The restaurant Fehér Galamb (White Dove) stood on the corner of Szentháromság Street and Úri Street in Buda Castle. It operated since 1856 and received its name after the dove couple that nested on the tree in front of the house. Poet Árpád Tóth and author Dezső Kosztolányi frequented the place as well. The building was damaged beyond recovery in 1945. Today, it is a restaurant again: Jamie's Italian Budapest.
