Bauer Sándor, a kép készítője; 1946-ban került az MTI-n belül működő Magyar Film Irodához fotóriporternek, majd 1957-től a Vendéglátás magazin munkatársa volt. Több mint négy évtizedes pályájának hagyatéka mintegy húszezer, nagyrészt negatívban fennmaradt fotó.

A képen a Szovjetunióba utazó negyventagú esztrád együttes tagjai. Ugyanis 1956 nyarán Moszkvában három hónapos turnét szerveztek egy válogatott magyar kulturális küldöttség számára. A magyar esztrádcsoport tagjai között ott volt a Magyar Rádió 22 tagú tánczenekara, a Vámosy-Záray házaspár, Gencsy Sári, Rafael Márta, Rodolfo, Alfonzó, Pataki Ferenc a fejszámoló, Bogár Richárd - Pécsi Gizi táncosok, a Harsányi együttes, Kelly a zsonglőr, és a Loosz akrobaták. Felléptek a moszkvai Gorkij-park hatalmas hatezer fős szabadtéri színpadán, az Esztrád Színházban, Szokolnyiki-park, és az Ermitázs-park színpadán is.

A picture from the photo collection of photographer Sándor Bauer who was the photo reporter of the Hungarian Film Office (belonged to MTI) as of 1946, and the employee of magazine Vendéglátás as of 1957. His legacy is about 20 thousand photos, mainly in negative.

The picture shows some members of a forty-member band travelling to the Soviet Union. In the summer of 1956, a three-month tour was organized in Moscow for a selected Hungarian cultural delegation. Among the members of the Hungarian stage group were the 22-member dance band of the Hungarian Radio, the Vámosy-Záray couple, Sári Gencsy, Márta Rafael, Rodolfo, Alfonzó, Ferenc Pataki the mental arithmetic, Richárd Bogár - Gizi Pécsi dancers, the Harsányi Band, Kelly the juggler, and the acrobats Loosz. They also performed on the huge open-air stage of Gorky Park in Moscow for 6,000 people, at the Estrad Theatre, on the stage of Sokolniki Park, and at the Hermitage Park.
