A budapesti Carlton szálloda romba dőlt épülete, háttérben a Dunába robbantott Lánchíddal. A főváros 1944-1945-ös ostroma alatt, a Hotel Carlton, Hotel Bristol és a Grand Hotel Hungária oly mértékű károkat szenvedtek a történelmi Duna Korzóval együtt, hogy a háború után valamennyit lebontották. Napjainkban a Hotel Mariott (volt Duna InterContinental) áll a helyükön (2018). A dátum a leltárkönyv alapján.
