Hídvám fizetése a Manci hídnál, az 1945-ös ostromot követően. A Manci híd a második világháborúban lerombolt Margit híd mellett épített ideiglenes hajóhíd (pontonhíd) volt. 1946 májusától 1947. novemberéig, a Margit híd félszélességben való megnyitásáig szolgálta a fővárosiakat. Becenevét "nővére" után, a Dunába robbantott Margit híd után kapta a pesti köznyelvben. A „Manci-híd” megépítésével egy időben állították helyre ideiglenesen szovjet műszaki csapatok a Ferenc József hidat (ma Szabadság-híd) is.
