A Morva-karszt Csehország egyik legcsodálatosabb és leggyakrabban látogatott területe. Brno városától északra helyezkedik el, területe 94 km2, 1956 óta áll természetvédelem alatt. Az alig 500 méterrel a tenger szintje fölé emelkedõ hegység tömegét – mintegy 350-380 millió éves – devon kori tengeri üledék rétegek alkotják. A Morva-karszt területén több mint 1100 barlang és szakadék ismert, közülük sok különlegesen díszített cseppkõképzõdményekkel, négy a nagyközönség számára is látogatható. Moravian Karst is one of the most beautiful and most frequently visited sights of the Czech Republic. It is situated north of Brno, its area is 94 square km, and the place has been a Protected natural area since 1956. The Karst was formed by a group of layers of sea sediments – Devon calcites – 350-380 million years old. The Moravian Karst consists of over 1100 recorded caves and abysses, four of them accessible to the public. Many of the caves are uniquely decorated with stalactites and stalagmites. The area also includes a number of important and world famous paleontological and archaeological localities. The postcard belongs to the collection of Dr. László Lénárt.
