A 2013. március 15-ei ünnepi program hagyományosan országzászló felvonással és koszorúzással kezdődött. A forradalmi menet fél tízkor indult a Petőfi térről, a Kossuth téren fél tizenegykor volt az ünnepi megemlékezés, majd a Honvédtemetőben, délután pedig a Belvárosi Közösségi Házban folytatódott az ünnepi program. Kósa Lajos polgármester az ünnepi hétvégét beharangozó tájékoztatón elmondta, jelentős változás, hogy mostantól a Főnix Rendezvényszervező Kft-re bízzák az ünnepi rendezvényeket is. Ők más kulturális intézményekkel együttműködve szervezik majd a programokat. 2013-ban is volt fáklyás felvonulás, a forradalmi táncház viszont újdonság volt.
