A tabló felső sávjában, a felső sor négy metszetét egymás mellé helyezve a következő felirat lenne olvasható: "SERIES CHRONOLOGICA DVCVM ET REGVM POLONORVM A LACHO I. AD AVGUSTUM II.". A metszetsorozat első lapján a Lengyel-Litván Unió egyesített címere és 8 uralkodó tondó formátumú portréja látható. A portrék alatt sorszámozott kartusok, rajtuk az adott uralkodó neve és életrajzi adatai.
