A fénykép középen a Mátyás kútja, jobbra az Oroszlános Kapu látható. A kút érdekesség, hogy a középső vadászkutya elpusztult 1945-ben, Grantner Jenő készítette az új kutyaszobrot, amelyet az akkor már államosított Vignali-öntödében készítettek, a korabelinél lényegesen rosszabb minőségben, ezért a kutya feltűnően különbözik két társától. Azóta teljes felújításon esett át a kút, restaurálták a szobrait, újjáépítették a medencét és kicserélték a gépészeti berendezéseket is.

It is interesting that the middle dog was ruined in 1945, and Jenő Garntner made the new dog statue, which was produced in the socialized Vignali foundry in much worse quality than the original one, thus it is strikingly different from its two companions. Since then, the well has undergone a complete renovation, its sculptures have been restored, the pool has been rebuilt and the mechanical equipment has also been replaced.
