A Magyar Szentföld-templom soha nem készült el. A templomot Majsai János Mór ferences atya kezdeményezésére Molnár Farkas építész tervei alapján kezdték építeni, a beruházó a ferences szerzetesrend volt. Az építkezés 1940 és 1949 között zajlott a befejezéséhez nem sok hiányzott volna, amikor Molnár egy bombatámadásban elhunyt, a munkálatokat 1949-ben leállíttatták, és a tetőszerkezet már elkészült részeit is visszabontatták. A monumentális épület ma is csonkként áll, évtizedekig levéltárként használták, 2013 óta ismét a ferencesek tulajdona. wikipedia.org

The Hungarian Holy Land Church was never completed. The construction of the church was started on the initiative of Franciscan Father János Mór Majsai, and on the plans of architect Farkas Molnár. The investor was the Franciscan monastic order. The construction was carried out between 1940 and 1949, and it was just about to be completed when Molnár died in a bomb attack, the work was stopped in 1949, and the already completed parts of the roof structure were demolished. The monumental building still stands as a ruin, used for decades as archives, and since 2013 it has been owned by the Franciscans again.
