A Mars-mezőt északnyugatról az Eiffel-torony, délkeletről pedig az École militaire katonai akadémia határolja. Nevét a Mars istenről kapta. A Párizsi Champ de Mars először 1867-ben, majd 1878-ban, 1889-ben (erre az alkalomra épült az Eiffel-torony is), 1900-ban és 1937-ben adott otthont világkiállításoknak.

Mars Field is bordered by the Eiffel Tower to the northwest and the École militaire military academy to the southeast. It is named after the god Mars. The Champ de Mars in Paris hosted world fairs, first in 1867, then in 1878, in 1889 (the Eiffel Tower was built for the occasion), in 1900 and in 1937.
