A Szent Orsolya Rend soproni zárdáját Niggl Mária bécsi asszony alapította 1746-ban. A soproni kolostorba Győrből érkeztek az apácák, akik nem sokkal érkezésük után meg is kezdték a városban a fiatal lányok nevelését. Ekkor épült az első zárdatemplom a Szent Kereszt tiszteletére.(https://www.varosplebaniasopron.hu)

The convent of the Order of St. Ursula in Sopron was founded in 1746 by the Viennese woman Mária Niggl. The nuns came to the Sopron convent from Győr, and soon after their arrival they began educating young girls in the town. It was then that the first convent church dedicated to the Holy Cross was built.
