A tíz boltból álló üzletlánc egészen a második világháborúig működött, a megmaradt két boltot (Király utcai és a Rákóczi úti) ötvenes években államosították. A legismertebb Király utcai Gólya egészen a kétezres évek első évtizedének közepéig működött.

The chain of ten stores operated until the Second World War, the remaining two stores (Király Street and Rákóczi Road) were nationalized in the 1950s. The best-known Gólya (Stork) on Király Street operated until the middle of the first decade of the 2000s.
