"Határnyitás" című kiállítás a Bécsben lévő Balassi Institut Collegium Hungaricum Galerie UngArt kiállítótermében, a bécsi "Disign Woche" keretén belül rendezett kiállítás a Páneurópai Piknik 25. évfordulója alkalmából. A Magyar Kereskedelmi és Vendéglátóipari Múzeum 37 darab tárgyat illetve dokumentumot kölcsönzött a kiállítás részére. A kiállítás meghívója, prospektusa az MKVM Kereskedelmi Adattárában van. A kiállítás anyaga az 1980-as évek mindennapjaiba enged betekintést a határ osztrák és magyar oldalán. Nemcsak a tartós fogyasztási eszközök bizonyultak ellenállhatatlannak a magyarok számára, hanem a kisebb értékű játékszerek, édességek és márkás dohánytermékek is. Így akkoriban közkedvelt ajándéknak számított többek között a Malboro cigaretta, a Milka csokoládé a Lego építőjáték és a különböző márkájú kvarcjátékok.

The exhibition "Opening the Border" was an exhibition on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the Pan-European Picnic in the exhibition hall of the Balassi Institut Collegium Hungaricum Galerie UngArt in Vienna as part of the "Disign Woche" in Vienna. The Hungarian Museum of Trade and Tourism lent 37 objects and documents for the exhibition. The invitation and brochure of the exhibition are in the Commercial Database of MKVM. The material of the exhibition gives an insight into the everyday life of the 1980s on the Austrian and Hungarian sides of the border. Not only durable consumer goods proved to be irresistible for Hungarians, but also cheap toys, sweets and branded tobacco products. Thus, popular gifts at the time included Malboro cigarettes, Milka chocolate, Lego toys and various brands of quartz games.
