Summer Theatre Circle was built based upon the plans of architect Viktor Konbenheyer from Budapest, with the initiation of lawyer Pál Draskóczy in 1898. Singing poet of Hódmezővásárhely Gusztáv Nyizsnyay's statue is in front of the building.
