Iskolai tanulmányi alatt érték a zsidóságot érintő rendeletek. Budapesten, az I. kerületben laktak, bátyját munkaszolgálatra hívták. Átkerültek a Pozsonyi utcai Vöröskereszt védett házába. Szülei azonban a gettóba kerültek, Ágnes megszökött, és egy keresztény házaspár segített neki bujkálni. Unokabátyja, R. Miklós a Vadász utcai „Üvegház” munkatársa volt, igazolványokat adott Ágnesnak, és egy egyszerű lakást biztosított számukra. Nyilasok igazoltatták őket később itt, a keresztény szokásokat kérték számon tőlük. Társnőjét súlyosan bántalmazták, amikor kiderült, hogy zsidók. Ágnes is sorra került, kérte, vigyék az Andrássy őt 60-ba, ott tisztázza magát, de társnőjét a ház előtt agyonlőtték. Ágnes következő említése az orosz felszabadítás, 1945. január 18.

There were the orders for Jewry when Ágnes was student. The family lived in the I. district, in Budapest. Her brother called into forced labor. The family got into the Pozsonyi street, in a protected house of Red Cross Army, but her parents got into the ghetto. Ágnes could to escape, a Christian couple helped her to hiding. Her cousin, Miklós R. was co-worker of the ’Glass house’ at Vadász street, he gave documents and identity card to Ágnes, and he ensured the family a little flat. Arrow Cross soldiers harassed them later here, they requested from them some Christian customs. Fellow of Ágnes was insulted very cruel, when the soldiers realized that they are Jewish. Ágnes was the next one, but she asked to bring her into Andrássy street 60, there she can justify herself, but the fellow girl was shot down in front of the house. Next mention of Ágnes is the liberation by Russians yet, on 18th of January of 1945.
