Katalin esete 1944. december 22-én és a napokban történt. Budapesten a Szent István parkban. Sz.-ék a szomszéd lakásból december 22-én hangokat hallottak, a házmesterrel később átmentek, és egy néhány hónapos kisbabát találtak kosárba helyezve. A szomszédasszonytól megkérdezték, mi ez a helyzet, majd kiderült, hogy a szomszéd is csak megőrzésre „kapta”, de Sz.-éknál maradt végül. Később előkerült egy házaspár, a kicsi valódi szülei, akik bujkálás miatt kényszerültek átmenetileg a Vöröskeresztre bízni gyermeküket. A gyermek R. Katalin volt, és tartja a kapcsolatot a Sz. család két tagjával már felnőttként is. A szöveget 1985. február 11-én írta meg, Budapesten.

Katalin’s case happened on 22nd of December of 1944, in Budapest, at Szent István park. Sz. family heard voices from neighbor flat, later anybody went there with the caretaker and found a baby in a basket. They asked from the neighbor lady what is this situation, and she told, she ’got’ the baby from Red Cross to saving. FInally the baby stayed at Sz. family. Later a couple came to carry away the baby. They were the real parents and they must have hidden, and it was necessary to entrust the child to Red Cross. The baby was Katalin R., and as an adult, she still keep the touch with Sz. family’s two members. She wrote the text on 11st of February of 1985, in Budapest.
