Mr. Heinrich Kaspar von Mattoni (Karlovy Vary, 11 August 1830 - Karlovy Vary, 14 May 1910. He lived a very interesting, exciting, and hectic life in the age of explorers. Mattoni is from an old Italian merchant family in Milan. The ancestors of the Octavian Mattoni clan moved to the Habsburg Empire and married the Czech branch of the family in Karlovy Vary on 17 September 1697.
