E helyen működött már 1838-ban a Két Fekete Medve fogadó, feltehetően ennek cégére látható, a kapu feletti félkör alakú díszrácsban. A korszakból származó cégérek közül alig maradt fenn néhány, ezért élvez védettséget 1980 óta, ez a szakmatörténeti szempontból nagy jelentőségű rácsrendszer.
The picture shows the gateway at 16 Ráday Street, Budapest. Above the gateway, two bears hold a wreath with the letter "W" and the year 1876. Neo-Hellenic trade-sign, made in Budapest, for the company of the Two Black Bears Inn, which was already operating on this site in 1838, and its torchlight holders. Only a few of the signs from this period have survived, which is why this grid system, of great historical importance, has been protected since 1980.
