In the early period, it was called American Park, during the Hungarian Soviet Republic People's Park, later from 1942 Hungária Park, for a while after the war, it was called Májuskert, then English Park again, and from 1950, Amusement Park.
The Vidám Park (Happy Park) was a large-scale amusement park in Budapest, Hungary. It was located in the north corner of Városliget City Park and next to the Állatkert, Zoo. The park was visited by 1 million people every year. In November 2013, Hungary's only and largest amusement park was closed.
