A Thököly- (Brâncoveanu-) tórendszer legmagasabb sókoncentrációjú tava (415 g/l). Partján már 1847-ben fürdőkabinokat találhatott az odalátogató fürdővendég. Vízakna Nagyszebentől 18 km-re északnyugatra fekszik Romániában. A település a képeslap kiadásának idején Magyarországhoz tartozott. A vízaknai sós vizű tavak a sóbányászat hozadékaként alakultak ki (az aknák beomlásával és elárasztásával), az első fürdőt 1846-ban nyitották meg. Az évszám a postára adás időpontja.

On the picture side of the postcard you can see a salt-lake of Vízakna, the Thököly lake and the wooden bathing hut surrounding it. Lake Thököly (Brâncoveanu) is the lake with the highest salt concentration (415 g/l) in the lake system. Bathing cabins were already found on its shores in 1847. Vízakna is located 18 km north-west of Nagyszeben in Romania. At the time the postcard was published, the village belonged to Hungary. The salt-water lakes of Vízakna were formed as a result of salt mining (with the collapse and flooding of the mines) and the first baths were opened in 1846.
