A tanulmány fő célja az volt, hogy összegyűjtse a mohos lápokban élő kovamoszat csoportok florisztikai adatait és ismertetőjegyeit.Az alga mintákat 11 helyszínről gyűjtötték össze. A mohákat összegyűjtötte és azonosította 1993 és 1995 között Szurdoki E. , aki a PhD tanulmányai részeként foglalkozott velük.
The main purpose of the study was to collect records on the floristics and characteristics of the assemblages (if any) of peat moss inhabiting diatoms. The mosses were collected and identified by E. Szurdoki between 1993 and 1995, as a part of her PhD study. Siliceous algae from 11 locations were sampled.
