A szerző ismerteti a Boraginaceae vagyis a borágófélék típusait a budapesti Természettudományi Múzeum Növénytárának Herbarium Carpato-Pannonicum gyűjteményéből, és annak legértékesebb részéből, a Herbarium Kitaibelianum-ból. A Természettudományi Múzeum Növénytárának herbáriumai az országban a legnagyobbak és legteljesebbek, Európában is jelentősek. A gyűjtemények egyike a Herbarium Carpato-Pannonicum, mely a Kárpátmedence flóráját tartalmazza, csatolt része - többek között- a tudományos és történelmi értékű Herbarium Kitaibelianum. Ez utóbbiban találhatók meg a "magyar LINNÉ " , Kitaibel Pál által leírt típusok.

The author discusses the type specimens of Boraginaceae wich are to be found in the Herbarium Carpato-Pannonicum of the Botanical Department, Hungarian Natural History Museum in Budapest even in the most valuable part of it, at the Herbarium Kitaibelianum. The collections of the Botanical Department of the Natural History Museum are the most outstanding and complete in Hungary, and significant even in Europe. One of the collections is the Herbarium Carpato-Pannonicum, containing the flora of the Carpathian Basin, and a part of it - among others - is the Herbarium Kitaibelianum, of great scientific and historical value. In this latter, the type specimens of Paul Kitaibel, "the hungarian LINNÉ", can be found.
