Bauer Sándor, a kép készítője; 1946-ban került az MTI-n belül működő Magyar Film Irodához fotóriporternek, majd 1957-től a Vendéglátás magazin munkatársa volt. Több mint négy évtizedes pályájának hagyatéka mintegy húszezer, nagyrészt negatívban fennmaradt fotó.

A ház várfalra néző hátsó szárnyát a jezsuiták emelték a XVII. század végén oktatási célokra. Két évszázaddal később, lényegesen kibővítve az épület elnyerte mai formáját, és a nagy hírű bencés gimnázium működött falai között.

A picture from the photo collection of photographer Sándor Bauer who was the photo reporter of the Hungarian Film Office (belonged to MTI) as of 1946, and the employee of magazine Vendéglátás as of 1957. His legacy is about 20 thousand photos, mainly in negative.

Forestry Vocational High School in Sopron. The rear wing of the house overlooking the castle wall was built by the Jesuits at the end of the 17th century for educational purposes. Two centuries later, the building took on its present form, expanded substantially, and the famous Benedictine grammar school operated within its walls.
