Napóleon az 1805-ös Austerlitznél zsákmányolt 1250 ágyú bronzából készíttette a Vendôme oszlopot, a római Traianus oszlop mintájára. A 43 méteres csavart oszlop 44 jelenetet ábrázol. Tetejére a császár szobra került, napjainkban nem az akkori szobor látható, azt többször kicserélték.
Street view on the Vendôme Square in Paris. Napoleon had the Vendôme Column made from the bronze of the 1250 cannons captured at Austerlitz in 1805, modelled on the Roman Trajan's Column. The 43-metre high twisted column depicts 44 scenes. The statue of the emperor is on the top, but it is not the same statue as it was then, having been replaced several times.
