Gundel 1904-es külföldi útja során koszorúzta meg az 1902-ben felállított szobrot, amely Chiattone olasz szobrászművész alkotása. Gundel János 1876-tól 1911-ig a szállodások és vendéglősök ipartársulatának elnöke volt.
Restaurant owner Mr. János Gundel wreathed the statue of Hungarian Queen Sissy located on the shores of Lake Geneva during his trip abroad in Montreux-Territet, Switzerland on 16 June 1904. Mr. János Gundel was the president of the hotel and restaurant industry from 1876 to 1911.
