Szénhidrogén mezőket keresve az 1950-es években végeztek próbafúrásokat és mint sok helyen az országban olaj vagy földgáz helyett gyógyvizet találtak. 1959-ben épült az első medence, majd a hetvenes évektől kezdve több is kialakításra került. A fürdőben a 2010-es évek elején jelentős felújítások történtek, hogy megfeleljen a modern kor feltételeinek.
