Enyhén ívelt, kettős vércsatornás penge, rajta maratott képek és feliratok. Egyik oldalon egészalakos Mária kép és koronás címer, a kettő között felirat: PATRONA HUNGARIA (sic!) VIRGO MARIA. A másik oldalon huszár képe, alatta: PRO DEO ET PATRIA, és kettős kereszt, alatta: PRO PATRIA ET LIBERTADE (sic!) VITAM.

Officer's saber, weapon from the 2nd half of the 19th century. Slightly curved blade with dual blood-channel and with etched images and text on it. On one side there can be seen a full-length image of Mary and coat of arms with the Holy Crown, where there is a subtitle between the two images: PATRONE HUNGARIA (sic!) VIRGO MARIA("Our Patron, defender of Hungary, Virgin Mary"). On the other side there is a hussar’s image and it is written below it: PRO DEO ET PATRIA and pound where there written below: PRO PATRIA ET LIBERTADE (sic!) VITAM ("For the Fatherland et for the Freedom our Lives"). Iron basket and pommel, grip coated with horny layer (stratum corneum) can be seen on the top. The saber blade is decorated with pictures and inscriptions taken from the Armory of Nagyvárad (today: Oradea, RO) that was active during the War of Independence in 1848-49. Mr. Klapka, György (Hungarian Commander) and Mr. Bem, József (Józef Zachariasz Bem, a Polish General, an Ottoman Pasha (Pasha Murat) and a national hero of both Poland and Hungary) had also such sabers.
