A képen a Sacher-legenda születését látjuk. Az alig 16 éves Franz Sacher 1832-ben bemutatta tortáját Metternich főhercegnek. Akkor másodéves cukrászinas volt, és a konyhafőnök lebetegedett, így neki kellett a helyben kidolgoznia egy kifinomult desszertet az ínyenc főúr magas rangú vendégei számára. A kiállítás a az Osztrák Kulturális Fórum, a bécsi Sacher tulajdonosai és a Magyar Kereskedelmi és Vendéglátóipari Múzeum szoros együttműködésével jött létre.

Former MKVM catering-industry exhibition in Budapest. Sacher exhibition of the Hungarian Museum of Trade and Tourism. The picture shows the birth of the Sacher legend. Franz Sacher, barely 16 years old, presented his cake to Archduke Metternich in 1832. He was a second-year confectioner prentice at the time, and the chef fell ill, so he had to work out a sophisticated dessert on the spot for the gourmet magnate’s high-ranking guests. The exhibition was created by the close collaboration between the Austrian Cultural Forum, the owners of Sacher in Vienna and the Hungarian Museum of Trade and Tourism.
